The Mc Donald’s Spring-Summer Fashion Week this year left the public’s jaw dropped. This after the world’s leading textile company dished elegant getups using unique raw materials.
Might of the Inflatable
A Westminster student named San Kim created inflatable garments that got the attention of the public in no time.According to the people who watched the event, the model who wore the inflated plastic dress looked like an astronaut.
Fashion experts worldwide commended Kim for utilizing plastics to turn his imagination into reality.
Georgian top-caliber designer Demna Gvasalia also added his own spice during the weeklong fashion show. Gvasalia showcased his new creations that were mostly inspired by the uniforms of store managers and security guards. Aside from the cool look, the models also ramped with some fries on their hands. Indeed, Gvasalia showed his bizarre side in this year’s fashion fest.
Men This Time
Famous British stylist Clare Waight Keller also laid her finest creations during the fashion week. But instead of focusing on producing elegant wedding dress, Keller favored men’s wear this time. According to Keller, he was greatly influenced by one of France’s most prolific poets Charles Baudelaire. Thus, she created traditionally-inspired dresses that reflect the rich history of France.
British fashion guru Craig Green opted to adhere on Mexican style. However, Green did not stray from what he does best. He still tailored nothing but men’s wear.
Aside from the beautiful designs, people also get hooked by the materials used by Green. According to the British icon, he made most of his dress using ‘papel picado’ or perforated papers.
With these unique dresses showcased on the public, it is apparent that Mc Donald’s Fashion Week this year deviated from its conventional theme. Fashion enthusiasts worldwide are crossing their fingers now on what’s in store for the next year’s fashion gala.
